Biography

Roberta “Bert” Prescott, 73, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, passed away on July 25, 2023, in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Bert was born in Jasper, Tennessee, to Raymond and Jessie Hix on August 14, 1949. She worked as an LPN for 20 years. She raised quail for over 10 years, often having over 5,000 at a time. She was known to have a cup of instant Folgers coffee in her hand, didn’t matter the time of day or the weather.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and had a very special connection with her twin brother, Robert. She loved all animals but was an avid collector of owls. They were her favorite.

Bert is survived by her children, Jessie and Clint Adams and Callie Johnson; her twin brother Robert Hix and sister Ann May; her grandchildren, Amanda and Alex Doyle, Mary Strokus, Kenneth and Melissa Turner, Monica Turner, Gerald and Coletta Hester, Jennifer Strokus, Christina “Crystal” Strokus and her great-grandchildren; Norah Doyle and John Doyle, Dillon Turner and Zoey Turner and Katie Hester and Haley Hester.

She is preceded in death by her sons, Robert Wilkinson and Rodney Wilkinson, her parents, and her siblings, Jimmy Hix, Steve Hix, Eva Russell, and Raymond “Ray” Hix.

  1. She was the best nana in the world and was very caring and loving towards others that she knew she was very loved and cared for as well I know that I only knew her for 4years but l loved her so much and I miss her so much but I know she is not in any pain anymore 😭
