Biography

Oma Fay Armer (Edwards), 85, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, passed away on September 11, 2023, in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Oma was born in Pawpaw, Oklahoma, to James Mirl Edwards and Ruth Alice Edwards (Maloney) on June 18, 1938. She was of the Baptist faith. She and the love of her life, Doyle J Armer, were married on September 26, 1955. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. You were welcomed with open arms and her contagious smile when you came to her home. She was a treasure on Earth and will be deeply missed.

“Give her of the fruit of her hands; And let her own works praise her in the gates.” Proverbs 31:31

Oma is survived by her husband, their children, Kim Armer, Darrel (Eddie) and Wanda Armer, Dennis and Julie Armer, Joy and Steve Green, nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, six sisters, five brothers, and one son, Chris Armer.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 13, 2023, 12:00 – 8:00 in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel at Forever Memories Funeral Services in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. The family will greet visitors from 5:00 – 8:00.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Nicut, Oklahoma, with Pastor Ed Baker officiating.

Final resting place will be Seabolt Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jared Armer, Jason Armer, Jeremy Armer, Matt Armer, Brett Armer and Adam Armer.

  2. We loved Oma Fay just like she was a close family member, she had such a warm way of making you feel loved and she loved to laugh, we had a lot of good times together, I know she had a big smile on her sweet face when she stepped into Glory! She will be missed ❤️
