Biography

Marvin Arthur Taylor, 80 of Sallisaw passed away on Tuesday, Aug 11, 2020 in the Jack Montgomery VA Hospital, Muskogee. He was born on June 14, 1940 to Harry Ernest and Leona Roxy (Munson) Taylor. Marvin was a veteran having served in the US Army honorably discharged in 1966 after being injured that involved his duty with tanks. He was a diesel mechanic and truck driver most of his life and always active with some kind of livestock, farming, and gardening. He always enjoyed chickens, goats, and pigs.Survivors include his daughter and her husband, Christy and Carlos Rosas of Greenwood, AR; Step son and his wife, Justin and Misty Walker of Sallisaw; sister, Pansy Lorett and a brother, Tommy Taylor, both of Cushing, OK; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. A very good family friend, Randy Walkup of Muldrow, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Lawanda Wolff and Mary Seabolt.Graveside services will be held on Monday, Aug 17, 2020, at 10:00 am in the Fleetwood Cemetery, Sallisaw.
