Biography

George Edward Thomison, 69, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away in Fort Smith, Arkansas on March 25, 2024. George was born to Clifford and Edna Ida Mae Thomison in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, on February 06, 1955. He was a mechanic and enjoyed working on boats and vehicles. He was a fisherman; he loved to noodle for catfish. He was a strong man who never let his disability define him. He could do whatever you could, but he’d do it better. He was a simple man who believed in God and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Jean (Farr) Thomison; siblings Phillip Thomison and Mark Thomison; his sister-in-law, Lois Thomison; his parents, Clifford and Edna Ida Mae Thomison.

George is survived by his daughters, Tammy and Carlton McCarty and Monica Thomison; his siblings, Peggy and James Stark and Lyle and Fayetta Thomison; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. George also leaves behind two of his very best friends, Casina and Cinnamon.

The family has entrusted the arrangements to Forever Memories Funeral Services, INC, Sallisaw, Oklahoma.

  2. George I will miss u giving me a hard time but I know it was all out of love! && Myla is gonna miss getting 2 go on her little scooter rides when she would get 2 stand on the foot rest & u would stroll her around. Ur were a great man & will b dearly missed. Love ya! Fly high buddy!

  3. George was a bestie cousin growing up. He would takeon anyone for me. I really had fun with him. He will be missed so much, we-still talked occasionally! He knew i loved him & i knew he loved me! Prayers for the family to find peace in the fact that hes in a better place. Thinking of you all.
