Gavin Wade Kemper, 30, passed away on October 27, 2021, at his home in Vian, OK.
Gavin was born on July 10, 1991. He was the youngest son to Richard and Patricia Kemper.
As a child, Gavin attended North Plains Elementary School, Evergreen Middle School, Glenco High School and went on to graduate from Banks High School in 2009. He was a very passionate and talented sports player throughout school and played tee-ball, baseball, and football. In 5th grade, Gavin placed 2nd in the state championship as a pitcher then went on to be the state champion in 6th grade. He also played on an undefeated football team his freshman year of high school. In 2014, he moved to Vian, Oklahoma where he made his home. He was working at Cellofoam North America Inc. in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He loved animals, fishing, weight lifting, gardening, singing, rapping, dancing, and his family. Gavin was especially close to his older brothers Tony and Ricky, and sister, LeAnn, who played a big part in his life.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Vorce and Thelma Martin, Rudy and Mary Kemper, and 3 brothers, B.J Watson, Billy Watson, and Ricky Kemper.
Survivors include his parents, Richard and Patricia Kemper of Vian, OK; 3 sisters, Debbie and Husband Tom Walsh of McMinnville, FL, Tina Kemper of Niceville, FL, Leann Watson of Albany, OR; 2 brothers, Anthony Watson and Wife Nora of Fort Smith, AR, Troy Kemper of Portland, OR, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles whom he adored, especially Jessica, Melissa, and Billy.
The family will be celebrating the life of Gavin and his brother, Ricky Kemper, on January 22, 2022 at 12:00 PM at North Plains Christian Church in North Plains, OR with pastor Calvin Habig officiating.
Pallbearers are Anthony Watson, Troy Kemper, LeAnn Watson, Tina Kemper, Debbie Walsh, and Tom Walsh.
