Biography

David Lee Mobley, 75, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away in a traffic accident on January 20, 2023, in Muldrow, OK. David was born in Upland, California, to Charles Mobley and Emily Baruti on February 17, 1947. He graduated from culinary arts as an executive chef and spent the next 40 years pursuing his passion. He was a disabled veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Army for over 28 years. He was a member of the local VFW. David loved going out to restaurants and sampling their menus to see if they matched his personal talent. His favorite place was Texas Roadhouse; he always got the ribeye. To David, the only cut of steak that exists is a ribeye. He loved to watch golf and occasionally would try his hand at the sport. He enjoyed playing games on his computer. He and his spouse of ten years loved to travel together and often drove for miles without a real destination in mind.

David is preceded in death by his parents.

David is survived by his spouse, Olivia Gann Mobley; children, Robert Mobley, JR, Michael Christopher Mobley, Roxanna Mobley – Collins; brother, Mike Mobley; brother-in-law, CW Fisher; sister-in-law, Nevelyn Taylor; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his small four-legged friend, Ginger.

    man. David was a regular Customer of the Sallisaw Wal-Mart and we will all miss him very much, David was always Smiling when we saw him and he always Said Goodmorning to everyone who knew him..David may you 🙏 🕊
