Margie June “Carter” Rogers, 89, passed away on August 1, 2020 in Purcell, OK. Margie was born on Dec. 21, 1930 in Woody Chapel, Oklahoma to Vernon and Pearl Bence. She was married to Benjamin Reese Carter , Spiro, OK in 1947 and had 3 Children. Donald Reese Carter and his wife Sue of Alex, OK; Jimmy Dale Carter and his wife Brenda of Catoosa; and Dianna June Vaughn and her husband Leon of Purcell. She also had 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren, whom she loved them all beyond words. She was preceded in death by her Great granddaughter Kylie Hughes; a son, Donald Carter; brother, Richard Bence; and her sister, Mae Reed; and her husband. After Benjamin passed she later married Buddy Rogers of Marble City, OK who had 3 Children of his own. Fama, Joy, and Darrell, and she loved them along with all of their children and grandchildren.Margie was a God fearing woman that wasn’t shy about telling people about her Lord and Savior. Today, if you remember nothing else about this wonderful woman, remember this, she loved you and she wants to see you again in Heaven.Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 5th, 2020 at 11:00am in the Blanchard Cemetery, Blanchard, OK. Brother’s Lyndol Birdsong, Steve Moore, and Barry Kirk will officiate the service with interment to follow directly after the service.
