Garvin Wesley Richardson, 70, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed from this life at his home in Sallisaw, on December 9, 2024.
Garvin was born in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, to John Elmer Richardson and Cora Ann Richardson (Petree) on March 2, 1954.
He worked for over 40 years as a Kiln operator at St. Clair Lime plant. The years he spent there, along with his co-workers, were very special to Garvin.
Garvin loved being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his many pets, and until a few years ago, he found pleasure in taking care of his cattle. While health issues forced him to liquidate his cattle, he was still able to care for his cats and dogs.
Garvin is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Thermon and Bill Richardson, and his sisters, Matilda Walls, Versie Jackson, and Bertha Richardson.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, December 13, 2024 in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. The family will greet guests from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2024 in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories, followed by a committal service at Upper Camp Creek Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers are Brayden Price, Trevor Price, Jeff Price, Derek Miller, Skylar Oren, and Kenny Oren.
Honorary Pallbearers are Donny Jackson, Michael Walls, JohnnyWinkler, and his St. Clair lime plant co-workers.
The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Forever Memories Funeral Services, INC, Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
