Edna Joan Folks, 81, of Panama, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Wilburn Luther Boston and Doris Edna (Floyd) Boston on December 30, 1942. She was a nurse’s aide in the healthcare industry.
Edna was a loving wife to her husband, Randy, a caring, loving mother, and a sweet great-grandmother with a beautiful soul. She loved flowers, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Randy; her children, Tiffany René Harrell, Jimmy Neal Carson, and his wife, Jackie, all of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; brother, Luther Neal Boston, and wife, Mari Anne of Colorado; Sandy and Ray Gipson, Ronilee Holmes, and Aubrie and Addie Kaufman; grandchildren, Jimmy Ray and Samantha Carson, Jason and Katrina Carson, Justin Carson, Tyler and Alyssa Harrell, Joshua and Rachel Wilson, Chelsea and Dan Hamilton, Belle Nelson, Arynn and Jon McElroy; fourteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; many other friends and family members.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild, Jonathon Wilson, and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Edna will be Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 12 to 8 p.m., with family greeting from 4 to 8 p.m. at Forever Memories Funeral Services, 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 2 pm in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel at Forever Memories Funeral Services, 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Edna’s final resting place will be at Sallisaw City Cemetery, Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Pallbearers are Tyler Harrell, Justin Carson, Joshua Wilson, Gage Carson, Jimmy Ray Carson and Jason Carson. The honorary pallbearer is Ray Gipson.
She was such a good soul. She was there for me when I was 14 and helped me with a very difficult situation. I am sure she will be upstairs wanting to do anything to make things better for those going thru a hard time. I will love and miss her always.
