“As we mourn and as we cry,
Lord, we ask you the famous question, “Why?”
Why did you have to take that precious baby away?
We enjoyed her sweet smile each and every day.
While we may be selfish, yes, that’s true.
We didn’t have her long, but she belongs to you!!
We may often wonder and don’t quite understand
that this was your will, and this was your plan.
There’s nothing we can do, and there’s nothing we can say
that will ever be enough to take the pain away.
Touch her mom and siblings’ heart and soul,
Lord, we know that you are always in control!
I pray for peace and comfort in this difficult time but it’s you we trust;
let Ivory give granny kisses from us!!
She got a ticket straight to heaven while we have to put in work,
in such a sad situation, that’s definitely a perk!
Everything is for either a reason or a lesson;
thank you, God, for the time we had with her…it was definitely a blessing!!”

    My condolences to this family. Idk know any of you, but I read this precious angels obituary! She shared the same name as my friend daughter, Ivory Ann! The poem written by Hazel, is absolutely award winning! May God hold you all in his hands through this incredibly heart wrenching ordeal!
