Biography

Earnest “Ernie” Ervin Harbour Jr., 86, passed away in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Ernie was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Earnest and June Harbour on May 23, 1938. He was a photographer, co-owned a restaurant, and was a furniture sales rep for Corsicana Bedding. He loved his wife and family very much. He was a rock to everyone. He enjoyed working out at Marvin Altman and loved watching football. He loved to dance and cook and often did them at the same time. He was such a joyful person and such a treasure to us all.  He was a devoted Christian. Ernie was at his happiest, spending time in Branson with his beloved wife.

He is survived by his spouse, Dee Harbour; children, Marlo and Danny Jr. Hoover, Andrea Harbour, and companion, Chris Highley; stepdaughter, Cyndi and Brian Shutt; grandchildren, Tanner Phelan, Megan Phelan, Allison Just, Joshua Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Asher McCallay, William R. Phelan, Silas Phelan, Vada Bonds, Jonah Billy and Journey Billy. His nieces and nephews are Theresa Mayhew, Megan Salerno, Leonard A Kremers Jr., Brian Harbour, and Amy Harbour.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and June Harbour, daughter Tanya Lanae Harbour, stepson T.J. Stiga, siblings Faye Rita Berkley and Michael Harbour, and grandson Jacob Just.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. The family will greet guests from 5:00 – 7:00.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 1:00 in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services.

Final resting place will be Long Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers are Brian Harbour, Tanner Phelan, Joshua Mitchell, Danny Hoover Jr, Michael Hoover, and James Knutson.

The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Forever Memories Funeral Services, INC, Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
