Joe Stikeleather, “Billy Joe,” passed away on December 25, 2022.
Joe was born April 28, 1935, to parents Floyd and Mary Stikeleather in Star City, Arkansas, and raised in North Carolina.
As most folks called him, “Billy Joe” worked at NAPA auto parts for 45 years. He loved karaoke, airplanes, bird watching, and telling stories.
“Billy Joe” was preceded in death by his parents, Son Daniel Stikeleather, and brother-in-law Weldon Marlowe.
Survivors include daughter Tricia and husband Barry Pool of Sallisaw, OK, son Joseph Stikeleather of Van Buren, AR., grandsons Colton Johnson, Sawyer Pool, Laiken Stikeleather and Lynden Stikeleather, sisters Sue Marlowe and Brenda Stikeleather, brothers Dexter and wife Penny Stikeleather, Don and wife Diane Stikeleather all of North Carolina.
Joe will be cremated, with services being held later in Ashville, North Carolina.
Services are under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services of Sallisaw, OK.

So sorry I had been out of touch for years. I am Joe’s first cousin and have tried and tried to get in touch with him and/or any of his family members. If you see this, accept my sincere sympathy. I did spend a lot of time with Joe when I lived in Pine Bluff.
