Biography

Sandra “Jody” Rudick, 77, of Muldrow passed from this life on Monday, July 19, 2021, in a Ft Smith hospital.  She was born May 26, 1944, in Sallisaw to Lee and Pauline (Clark) Garvin. Jody was a graduate of Central High School and had worked for 26 years as the office manager for Marvin’s IGA.  She loved to cook, bake, and make jams to sell at the local farmers market.

 

Sandra is survived by her life partner of 32 years, Roger Mike Johns of the home; her children, Teresa James and her husband Tim of Vici, OK, James Rudick and his wife Sheryl of Vici, Mark Rudick of Sallisaw, and Keith Rudick and his wife Macinda of Sallisaw; her siblings, Yvonne Nance of Sallisaw, Faye Allen of Sallisaw, and Kaye Tinney and her husband Raymond of Checotah; 12 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Patsy Garvin McCrary, and her brother, John Garvin.

 

Viewing for Jody will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 4-7pm in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever memories Funeral Services, Sallisaw.  Memorial services for Sandra will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services, 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw.  Brother Vernon Stone will officiate services. Honorary Casket Bearers will be her Grandsons, Trey James, Josten Fargo, Tim Rudick, Ryan Rudick, Zac Rudick, Nick Rudick, Patrick Rudick, Chad Rudick, and Dylan Rudick.

    My heart absolutely breaks for your loss. If words could help shield you from the pain, I’d send a million of them. For now, I will send love and hope knowing others care helps ease some of the pain.

    So sorry to hear of the passing of this wonderful Lady talked to her just about every weekend at our local Farmers Market when my late husband would visit with Mike my prayers are with Mike and the family. rest in peace Jody
