Scott Jeffrey Romine, a cherished member of his family and community, passed away on March 3, 2025, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, at the age of 54. Born on August 8, 1970, in Saint Clair, Michigan, Scott lived his life with a steadfast commitment to hard work and an unwavering love for those around him.
Scott's career was marked by a hands-on approach that reflected his character. As a concrete worker, asphalt worker, sod farm worker, and Farm manager, he was never afraid of putting in the effort necessary to get the job done. His dependability and honesty made him a trustworthy friend and colleague, earning him the respect of many throughout his working years.
With a personality that shone brightly, Scott was known for his compassionate, loving, and caring nature. He embraced life with enthusiasm, and his ability to connect with everyone he met made him a beloved figure in various circles. Whether on the job or in his leisure time, Scott's spirit and joy were contagious, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the opportunity to know him.
Outside of work, Scott cherished nature and found great joy in woodworking, fishing, boating, and hunting. These hobbies allowed him to nurture a deep bond with the great outdoors while creating memorable experiences with family and friends.
Scott leaves behind a loving family who will always carry his memory in their hearts. His mother, Jeannette Thomas, and his children—Alex, Aaron, Samantha, and Ryan—were the light of his life. As a proud grandfather, he adored his grandchildren, Christopher, Seth, Jada, Aaliahy, Bristol, Amara, Jayden, Axtin, William, Sadie, Aria, and Macey, who all knew him as a devoted and doting grandparent.
Scott is also survived by his siblings: Carol Hallmark, Chuck Romine, Jeremy Romine, Paul Romine, and Jennifer Scott. Each one can surely attest to the affection and kindness he spread like sunshine in their lives.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Duncan, and several other relatives and friends, who surely welcomed him with open arms.
As we celebrate the remarkable life of Scott Jeffrey Romine, we remember him as a man who was truly a friend to everybody, whose legacy of hard work, compassion, and love will forever resonate in the lives he touched.
