Rose Marie Smith

Rose Marie Smith, 64, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born in El Paso, Texas to Frances (Stokes) Medearis. Friends and family describe Rose as an amazing lady who was kind and loving, had a generous heart, and loved to help people. She was a very talented basketball player on her school team in her youth. Rose was an excellent cook; she worked in various Texas restaurants and later at Holly Carburetors in Sallisaw. Rose was a fan of OU and Dallas Cowboys Football; she loved to watch “The Young & Restless” and “The Price is Right”. 

 Rose is survived by her mother, Frances Medearis; her significant other, Gregory Raines; and her siblings, Timmy Medearis, Colleen Medearis, Jeri Barnes, Terry Stokes, Karen Jones, Geraldine Stokes, and Tony Jones.

She is preceded in death by her twin sister, Rosalie Brinlee, and her niece, Whitney Medearis.
