Biography

William Charles Stonebarger, 65, passed this life Sunday, July 14, 2019 at his home in Sallisaw, OK. He was born August 8, 1953 in Muskogee, OK to John and Katie (Cline) Bough. Billy was an enthusiastic T-ball coach and umpire of many years with David Cotner and Jack Rosenburg. He was an avid Vian Wolverines fan. Mr. Stonebarger was employed in security at the Cherokee Casino for 17 years and began in law enforcement in the early 80’s and absolutely loved it.He is survived by his wife, Angela (Martin) Stonebarger of the home; children, Tracy Emory of Sperry, OK, Cindy Hofer and husband, Nate of Sallisaw, OK, Kristy Stonebarger of Vian, OK, Shawna Boyd of Sallisaw, OK, Billie Jean Cole of Wagoner, OK, Bill Stonebarger and wife, Michelle of Sartell, MN, Jerome Stonebarger and wife, Danielle of Enid, OK, and Brandy Stonebarger of Vian, OK; brothers, Willard Stonebarger and wife Rhonda of Vian, OK, and Kelly Karnes of Missouri; sister, Willie Stonebarger of Tahlequah, OK; twenty grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.Billy was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jackie Holman and Janie Horner; brother, Jim Stonebarger; son, Bradley Boyd; and grandson, Dalton Walker.Visitation for family and friends of Mr. Stonebarger will be Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 5-7pm in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel at Forever Memories Funeral Services, 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw, OK. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 1pm in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel at Forever Memories Funeral Services with Beau Burlison officiating. Casket bearers will be Billy”s grandsons. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Vian, OK.The family of Mr. Stonebarger has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Forever Memories Funeral Services.

  3. Such a sweet and loving man. His love for the kiddos was known all aroun town. He captured the heart of so many. Hes gone too soon for us but God had other plans for this great soul. Many loved ones are there to greet him and the party commences without us…for now…but someday soon it’s going to be a huge family reunion of the best kind. We will miss you Billy…

  10. No one can ever take the special place of being the first love, wife, mother, confidante, & soulmate. Though it may not be a " forever" love for a time it was THE love. I thank Billy for the time we shared, for the daughters I could never have borne, and for a life filled with ups and downs but also with love & laughter, sadness & tears & all the life that goes with it. Thank you Billy for the part of me created by & thru you. So many will miss you, your compasion, your loving nature, your forgiving heart and all those whose lives you have touched and in your own way made their lives all the better for it.God rest your soul and the peace you so rightly deserved and duly earned. You will be sorely missed by so many !
