  8. My condolences to her family. She was such a sweet and kind person. I met Lavon the day she started working at the nursing home, I was about 11 or 12 at the time, and she was 18. I was their trying to get something from my Mom (Hester Davis), and I remember staring at Lavon and thinking, she is too young and too pretty to be working here. At that time everybody over 20 was old. I saw her periodically over the next 50 years and she always seemed the same. Still pretty, friendly and just all around a very good person to know. Rest in Peace old friend, and may god grant comfort and Peace to your loved ones.
