Biography

Karen was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on October 30th 1962 to Melvin R. Kelley and Rose Marie Kelley. It is with great sadness that Karen passed this life at the age of 55 on Friday October 12, 2018 in Fort Smith Arkansas. She leaves behind her loving husband Allen Bailey; two sons Jeremy Bailey, Heath and his wife Athena Bailey. Four granddaughters Lily Pierce, Alona Bailey, Alyssa Bailey, and Linsey Bailey all of Hulbert, Oklahoma. Her Mother Rose Kelly; two sisters, Nancy Brown and Susan Smith, all of Vian, Oklahoma. Many nieces and nephews and other relatives. She will be greatly missed by all of us who Loved her so very much.She was preceded in death by her Father Melvin Robert Kelley; Three brothers Maynord Kelley, Harold Kelley,and Rob Kelley; and One sister, Linda GreeneKaren worked in the Horse Racing Industry as a line technician repairing betting machines, while traveling to Texas and Louisville, Kentucky to help out with the Kentucky Derby and the Breeders Cup races. Casket bearers will be Garrett Brown, Haden Herriman, Tyler Vann, Keith Herriman, Bodhie Vann, and Robert JohnsonHonorary casket bearers are Justin Vann, Billy Brown, Bobby Brown, Michael Brown, Brice Edwards, Dalton Edwards, Steven Kelley, and Gannon BrownA viewing will be held at Forever Memories Funeral Services, 463505 Hwy 101 in Sallisaw on Tuesday October 16, from 4-7pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 17 at 11:00 A. M. in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel, Forever Memories Funeral Service, with Mr. Heath Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnoski Cemetery located at Evening Shade, Oklahoma.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Forever Memories Funeral Service, Sallisaw.

  4. Just want to tell you how very special Karen was to me. I believe I spent more time with her than any other cousin. We had so much fun as little girls playing house in the woods, making mud pies and talking Rob into going with us to the frozen pond to skate, he was much more brave than we were. Many memories made with Karen, I know sheWill be missed dearly. I love you all!
