Biography

Joseph “Bubba” Hixon was born February 14, 1985 and passed away unexpectedly March 31, 2019. He is preceeded in death by his mom Sheenah Howell of Sallisaw, his dad Joey Hixon of Catoosa, his grandparents, Thomas “Smokey” and Gladys “Sug” Howell of Muldrow. He is survived by his wife, Larissta Hixon, his companion Sidia Nieto, his 10 children; Riley, Johnny, Tristen, Eli, Josiah, Sophie, Harley, Easton, Jackson and Braxton, his siblings, Jesse & Shayla Hixon of Collinsville, Casey and Ambrosia Davis of Topeka, Bethany Howell & Garrett Smith of Locust Grove, his aunt and uncle Donald and Monica Smith of Spiro, Justin & Dee Howell of OKC, and many many more that love and cherish him dearly. Joe served in the U.S Army, was a sub contractor, a general contractor, or anything it took to provide for his family. In his spare time this man LOVED to fish. He loved to fish so much that he taught his kids how to love to fish. He was a hard working man who loved his family and would go to war for any one of them. Heaven has them a soldier for sure. RIP Bubba you sure will be missed. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel at Forever Memories Funeral Service, 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw, from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 2:00 pm in Sequoyah Memorial Chapel, Forever Memories Funeral Service with Heath Wood officiating. Interment will follow in the Brent Cemetery, Gans, OK. Pallbearers will be Joey Ginhart, Joshua Smith, Dustin Howell, Casey Davis, John Petree, and Brandon Evans. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Hixon, Andy Nieto, Donald Smith, and Kris Nieto.Funeral services have been entrusted to and under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Service, Sallisaw, OK.
