He was a firm but fair man, we met again later in life and I was glad to be able to call him a friend. Prayers for the family. Cindy Keith 8 Jul 2021 Reply Deepest sympathy for your family. Shannon Jackson 8 Jul 2021 Reply Harold was a wonderful person with a big smile and an even bigger heart. My heart go’s out to his family that he loved so much. Gloria D. Neer 8 Jul 2021 Reply Mr. Whitaker was always a pleasant person to see whether at school or anywhere in town. We would always chit-chat about how school was going and then after he retired he would always wonder how much longer I was going to teach. He cared about his students and his students cared about him. He was fair to ALL! Thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Linda LaBass 8 Jul 2021 Reply I am so sorry for your loss. Becky Randolph 8 Jul 2021 Reply Such a sweet man. He was always so kind???????????? Sherree Reid 8 Jul 2021 Reply Maranda Williams 8 Jul 2021 Reply Mr. Whitaker was a wonderful man. Unfortunately, he was never a teacher of mine, however my brother was in his class. Even at a young age I could see how far he wanted his students to go, he was a dedicated and caring teacher. Later in life when I would see him out, we’d always talk. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Chelsea Real 8 Jul 2021 Reply I loved Mr. Whitaker when my mother was a teacher at Eastside with him. I had the opportunity as a nurse to care for him in recent years and he was just as sweet then. He will be missed. Linda Moore 8 Jul 2021 Reply I loved his smile and gentle kindness! Dwight and Debbie Phillips 8 Jul 2021 Reply Thoughts and prayers as we treasure many precious memories.
