Biography

Gary Bowling, 43, of Muldrow, died on December 21, 2016 at his residence. He was born on September 3, 1973 in Franklin, IN to Jerry and Denise (Durham) Bowling. Gary was married to Vanita Blackburn on May 11, 1992 in Pittsburg, MO. He had worked as a HVAC Tech for the past five years also worked maintenance for nursing homes, Holiday Inn and Auto Zone. During his teenage years, he worked construction. He loved to fish, metal detecting and he loved his church, The General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn.Gary was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife-Vanita, children; James Bowling of Stillwater, Heather Bowling of Eolia, MO, Samantha Bowling, Angela Bowling and Jacob Bowling all of the home. Mother-Denise Hill of Muldrow, siblings; Tommy Bowling of Buffalo, MO, Brandy Baker of IN and Amanda Kimball of Arkansas. Many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and many friends.Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, December 26 at Forever Memories Funeral Services. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Forever Memories Funeral Services with Wayne Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Akins Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be; Brandon Bowling, Chad White, Glenn Kimball, Jeff Holmes, Justin Walker and Ken Booth. Honorary bearers will be; James Bowling, Jacob Bowling and Lawrence Smith.

  1. Vanita and family, I was so shocked to hear the news of Gary passing away. My heart is broke and I cannot even imagine the grief all of you are feeling. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your whole family.
