Biography

Cuby Barnhill was born on April 21st, 1935 in Minco, Oklahoma and passed this life on May 13th, 2022.  She was born to Claude and Lillian Teague.  Cuby’s most fond memories was growing up on Brushy Mountain with her eleven siblings and parents,spending time with her family and travels both in the United States and overseas.  She talked often about her riding horses with her brothers and sisters on the Mountain.  She loved the great outdoors, gardening and traveling.  Family was the most important part of her life.

Cuby leaves behind her children and their spouses:  Tony and wife Debbie Vance of Cookson, Mike Vance of Tahlequah, Kim Harp of Sallisaw, Darren and wife Lisa Barnhill of Sallisaw.

She also cherished her seven grandchildren and her four great grandchildren.  Her grandchildren are Chris Vance of Tahlequah, Eric Vance of Cookson, Mark and wife Kerry Vance of Cookson, Kacie and husband Silas Real of Sallisaw, Brandon and wife Heather Barnhill of Halls, Tennessee, Logan Barnhill of Tulsa and Hannah Harp of Sallisaw.  Cuby’s great grandchildren are Noah Vance, Asher Real, McKenna Real and Luke Barnhill.

Cuby also leaves behind her brothers Sonny and Mike Teague,sister Joyce Keefner and sister in laws Jeanie Teague and Wynona Teague along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Claude and Lillian Teague, brothers: Dub Teague, Jay Teague and Ronald Teague also her sisters Irene Vermillion, Virginia Beck, Lorene Cummings, Bonnie Tadlock and Jackie Lindsey and son in law Richard Harp of Sallisaw.

The family and Cuby are also very grateful for the outstanding care, friendship and compassion that Marilyn Conine provided.

Visitation for Cuby will be Tuesday May 17, 2022, from 6 to 8 P.M.

Graveside services will be held at Akins cemetery on Wednesday May 18, 2022, at 11:00.

Casket bearers will be her grandsons and nephews.
