Biography

Clifford “Pete” Looper, 67 of Sallisaw, passed away on Thurs., Sept 10, 2020 after an extended illness. He was born on Mar 8, 1953 in Sallisaw to Vernon Clifford and Mary (Roberts) Looper. He had worked most of his life as an auto mechanic.He is survived by his wife, Vera (Shahan) Looper whom he married on July 4, 1976; 4 sons, Clifton and his wife Christy Looper, Jonathan and his wife Erica Sanders, Clifford Looper Jr., and Vernon DeWayne Looper; daughter Vera and her husband Stuart Martin; 6 grandchildren, , Joshua and his wife Ashley Martin, Brian and his wife Holly Martin, Elyssa Bella Martin, Carrie Ann Looper, Phillip Sanders and Seth Sanders; 7 great grandchildren, Zoe, Rebel, Raven, Ray, Kaden, Arayah, and Caleb; brother, Glen Looper; sisters, Terri Northcott, Joyce Colon, Kathy Freeman, and Rosa Scott. He was preceded in death by one grandson, J.J. Sanders, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.Memorial services are pending and will be announced at a later date by the family.Arrangements are under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services, Sallisaw, OK

  7. Pete was one of those rare people who was a natural mechanic that could do anything and liked nothing better than helping people. The world is a little sadder with him gone and he will be missed by many.
