He was a wonderful father to me, my brother Jason and Patti Poindexter. He adopted us in as young 7,8, & 9 being in foster care. Our mother Jeanette Poindexter gave up so much love and took excellent care of us. Unfortunately, Nancy was 20 years younger than our mother Jeanette and was convincing Ben Poindexter to become a step father to many of her children. We love you dad! So sorry we are not able to be present at the funeral due to step children taking over.
