Biography

Arkie Troy England, 75, of Owasso, died Thursday evening, Jan 17, 2019, in Tulsa. Arkie was born on Sept 18, 1943 in Ft Smith, AR to William (Bud) and Lillie Mae (Martin) England.Arkie loved his family and friends, and this carried over to his love of helping those in need. He owned and operated Sequoyah Roofing Co and loved his work, as he did cooking, fishing, and going on vacations with his family and friends.He is survived by his wife Judy of the home; children and spouses, Troy and Kenetha England of Grove, Travis and Carrie England of Claremore, Greg and Angela Montgomery of Shawnee, Cindy and Tim Holt of Owasso; and his beloved dogs, Mindy and Sadie; brothers William (Wig) England of Sallisaw, and Barney England of Mississippi; Sisters, Lee Ellen Groves of Sallisaw and Reba Sue Turner of Sallisaw, 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Arkie was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Alice Ollis; and 4 brothers, Okie, Lum, Cotton, and Pete.Visitation for family and friends will be Monday evening, Jan 21, 2019, from 5-7pm in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Service, 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw. Funeral services will be on Tues, Jan 22, 2019, at 2:00 pm in the Brushy Holiness Church, Brushy, OK. Interment will follow in the Brushy Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Rev. Lee Thornell, and Tammy Tathum.Casket bearers will be Jeremy Pratt, Riley Henry, Jesse Pratt, Alex England, Jacob Pratt, and Nathaniel Pratt. Honorary casket bearers will be Greg Montgomery, Larry Cooper, Dale Henry, Bo Marley, Charley Woody, Ray Woody, James Dority, and BJ Leuenroth.Family and friends will have a lunch served beginning at noon on Tuesday in the Brushy Holiness Church.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Forever Memories Funeral Service, Sallisaw

  2. God blessed you! May not feel like it now but just imagine when we get to Heaven we are all going to be feasting on the best darn barbecue around and he’s going to be smiling BIG!!! I pray that healing comes quick and sadness dissappears and his legacy lives on! Love you Arkie

  4. I am so sorry another England icon is gone. It is so hard to give them up, but our memories and dreams will always remain. Arkie loved life so much even through years of agonizing pain, but is now is free and will be with Okie once again.
