Joy Diann Hill, a cherished soul known for her sweet disposition and sassy charm, passed away on April 10, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Born on October 15, 1954, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she was a beacon of joy and warmth to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Joy's life was adorned with simple pleasures and a love for creativity. Her passion for horror movies sparked countless late-night viewings with family and friends, where spirited discussions about terrifying plot twists often ensued. She found joy in the thrill of yard sales, where she would skillfully hunt for treasures that would soon find a place in her heart and home. These moments shared with loved ones, filled with laughter and playful banter, will forever be cherished memories.
A particular fondness for porcelain dolls captured Joy's heart, each piece telling its own unique story, just as she herself did with the myriad experiences she embraced eagerly throughout her life. Her true pride, however, lay in her children and grandchildren, whom she adored deeply. They were her greatest accomplishments, a testament to the unconditional love she poured into her family.
Surviving Joy are her beloved husband, Larry Hill, her daughter Carrie Robertson, and her son Randy Brown. Joy also leaves behind a legacy of love embodied in her grandchildren, Jamey, James, and Sarah Robertson, and Katherine Green, along with her great-grandchildren, Stormy Green and Helen Key. Each one carries a piece of her vibrant spirit and affection, ensuring that her light continues to shine brightly within them.
Joy is preceded in death by her loving parents, Steve D. Hance and Fern Hance, who instilled in her the values of kindness and perseverance that she exemplified throughout her life.
As we bid farewell to Joy Diann Hill, we remember her not only for her delightful quirks and passions but also for the warmth and laughter she brought into our lives. Her memory will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to share in her journey.
