Dr. Luther Neal Boston

Dr. Luther Neal Boston, of Grand Junction, CO, was born in Ft. Smith, AR on April 8, 1948, to Doris Edna (Floyd) Boston and Wilburn Luther Boston.

Neal spent his early years in Panama, OK helping at his father’s gas station, playing high school sports, and experiencing life in a small rural town.

While Neal spent most of his life in OK, he left to study at the Cleveland Chiropractic College, Kansas City, MO, earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic.   He had a successful private practice in Chouteau, Oklahoma for many years. His medical talents were also used to help pets and livestock that were in pain. He was proclaimed around Fort Gibson Lake as a sort of animal whisperer, and his compassion extended beyond his loyal patients to animals in need.

After retirement, he and Marianne moved to Grand Junction, Colorado, where he began a new, full life. He loved his adopted state of Colorado and was beginning to be a hiker and he took up golf again.  He was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan.  He recently traveled and was proud to have visited all 50 states. In his younger years, he loved flying his airplane, entertaining visiting family and friends to his Grand Junction home, making road trips, and hanging out with local guy friends who enriched his retirement.

Neal, (76) passed away on the 25th day, of January 2025 in Grand Junction, Co.  He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Marianne (Hauer) Boston, step-daughter Lisa Anderson and two grandchildren Aidan Anderson and Megan Anderson, Brother in law, Randy Folks, cousin Ladora Sue Twellman, niece Tiffany Harrell and nephew Jimmy Neal and wife Jackie Carson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Edna Joan Folks.

Neal’s only request was to celebrate his life and to remember him fondly with smiles.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Denver, Colorado.
