Biography

Mark Patrick Woods, 55, of Muldrow, OK, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022.

He was born on January 29, 1967, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Betty Woods (Davis) and D.F. Woods.

Mark was a proud dad and gramps. He grew up on a dairy farm in Ellis County, OK, where he attended Arnett Schools. He was proud to share stories of his agriculture and FFA days. He received his certification as a court reporter and worked for the State of Oklahoma for 32 years. His hobbies included playing golf, watching OU football and other sports, and spending time with close family and friends. He loved to travel. His prized possession was his shiny blue corvette that he called his “rocket ship”. He will always be known as the life of the party and will be deeply missed by all of those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, D.F. Woods.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Woods; children, Taylor Lovell and husband Ricky Lovell of Muldrow, OK; siblings, Roxana “Roxie” and husband Parker of Brooks, GA, Todd and wife Christi of Perry, OK, and granddaughter, Tildyn Lovell.

A visitation for Mark will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022, from 5-8 PM in the chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services of Sallisaw, OK.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 2 PM, at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow, OK, with Chris Stephenson officiating.

Casket bearers will be Jon Ollie, Shane Erwin, Stanley Collins, Lance Kittrell, Chad Stites, and Jeff Humphrey. The honorary bearer will be Ricky Lovell.

  2. I am so very sorry. I have had many many good and fun times with Mark. We have played golf, hung out and he was my true friend when I needed one the very worse. I will truly miss him more than I have words. Mark Woods was one of a kind and there will never be another like him.
