Biography

Lois Jeannette Fine Tounzen, age 76, was born in Antioch CA. on February 2, 1946, to Charles and Maggie Fine.

Jeannette went to heaven on September 29, 2022. She was a Sallisaw Black Diamond and was of Baptist faith. Mom loved to cook. She was the owner of Cake-N-Stuff, the home of brown beans, fried potatoes, and cornbread.

Jeannette married the love of her life Harold Tounzen on November 27, 1965.

Mom is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Tounzen; parents, Charles and Maggie Fine; Sister, Charity Richardson; nephew, Jerry Max; a brother-in-law, and sister-in-law.

Jeannette leaves to mourn her daughter, Diane and husband John Hine; Grandson, Charles Tounzen all of Sallisaw; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Lynn Fine of McKinney Texas; sister, Barbara Sharp Fine of Muskogee OK; nephews, Chris Tounzen of Collinsville, OK, Anthony and Mamie Fine of McKinney TX, and Dale and Shery Tounzen of Sallisaw OK; nieces, Tina Decker and husband Mike of McKinney TX, Susan, and Dwain of Sallisaw OK, and Anita Tounzen of Collinsville OK; brother-in-law, Henry Tounzen, and a host of great nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

Active Pallbearers will be Bailey Carter, Cordell Kelsey, Steve Garvin, Buch Buchanon, Jr Branham, and J.D. Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers are Kenneth Martindale, Skip Duty, James Pathkiller, Steve Dodd, Br. Vernon smith and Rodney Smith.

A visitation for Jeanette will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022, from 4 to 8 PM, in the chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Prices Chapel, in Sallisaw Oklahoma.

Arrangements are under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services.

  3. So sorry to hear of this loss! In 1988,89 I worked at Frontier Pontiac with Howard and Janette. Also played basketball my senior year with Dale, All such amazing people!! Prayers for your family!

  4. Jeannette & I go way back to SHS. If it weren’t for her I am sure Gus and his friends would never has passed English. Even though I haven’t seen her in a while, I will miss her just knowing she is not here anymore. There will never be another one like her. Prayers for the family.
