Biography

Laurie Denise Lewis, 52, of Sallisaw, OK, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

She was born on December 9, 1969, to Dennis J. Russell and Mary D. Russell, in Visalia, California.

Laurie had a variety of jobs, ranging from Palomar Hospital in Escondido, CA to O’Reilly Auto Parts in Sallisaw, OK, where she made many friends along the way. She cared for others, and always took the time to check on them. She loved working in her yard and had a passion for reading books. Laurie was also fond of animals, especially cats. One of her greatest joys was her family.

She is preceded in death by her son, Jacob Lewis, and her brother, Dennis Russell Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Brad Lewis; daughter, Caitlin Lewis; parents, Mary D. Russell and Dennis Russell Sr, and brother, Ben Russell.

A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, from 4-8 PM in the chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services in Sallisaw, OK.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 10:30 AM, at United Faith Church in Sallisaw, OK, with Steven Dodson officiating.

  1. Brad – my heart breaks for you brother. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in such a great loss. Many memories with Laurie as she worked with dad at O’Reilly’s. Wish I could be there to support you – but I know mom will. Love you!!
