Karen Sue Billie, 49, of Vian passed away at her home north of Vian on Wed, July 28, 2021. Karen was born on Oct 16, 1971, in Tahlequah to George and Gloria Ann (Anderson) Callie. She was raised in Sycamore Community NE of Vian and was a graduate of Sequoyah High School in 1990. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed her Native American Art, beading, fishing, and reading. Karen had a heart of gold and always enjoyed making people laugh and smile. There was never a dull moment when she was around, even on her worst days, she was happy and didn’t want anyone sad.
Karen is survived by her three children, Joseph Dylan Girty of Cherokee, NC, Hannah Billie of Poteau, Darrah Billie of Henryetta; her mother, Gloria Callie of Vian; her companion, Jason Sloan of Vian; grandchildren, Savannah Hubbard and Kade Smith, C.J. and Bodhi Rowell, and Walela Girty her brothers and sisters, Lloyd Callie of Grady, AR, Joseph Callie of Gravett, AR, Jason and Jennifer Callie of Vian, Cheryl Taylor of Vian, Teresa and Thomas Young of Vian, Karla and Mike Stillwell of Tahlequah, Maranda and Matthew Morris of Bristow; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, George Callie, and a brother, Bobby Taylor of Vian.
Visitation for Karen will be held on Sunday afternoon Aug 1, from 2-5pm in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services, 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw, Ok. Funeral Services will follow on Monday, Aug 2, 2021, at 10:00am in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel with her final resting place in the Grimmett Cemetery, Vian, OK. Pastor Clifton Pettit will officiate. Casket bearers will be Jason Callie, Joseph Callie, Jason Sloan, Matthew Morris, Shawn Pettit, Nathan Griffin, Randall Billie, and Jason Billie. Honorary Bearers will be Donald Quinton, Carl Dree, Jerrick Sequichie, Josh Sequichie, Scotty Sequichie, and Jacob Sequichie
