John T. Posey Jr.

John T. Posey, Jr. (August 2, 1939 – January 26, 2023) passed away peacefully at home from heart failure complications. John owned and created the beautiful Meadow Park RV Park at Lake Tenkiller, Oklahoma. John loved his days and his life at Meadow Park. He is best known for his quick-witted humor, sense of adventure (traveling and motorcycling around the world), kindness, “stick-a-to-ity” (perseverance), love for his family, and commitment to Meadow Park and its community. He started developing Meadow Park nearly 40 years ago, and it is now a thriving community with 100 RV home sites.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and John T. Posey, Sr., and his sister Ellen Twist.

John is survived by his daughter Julea Douglass and son, John Braeden Posey; brothers Bill and Ernie Posey; sister Brenda Posey; and his four grandchildren, Dylan and Skylar Posey, and Brody and Cali Douglass. We will all miss him dearly.

John loved to make people laugh, was a great listener, and was a true brother and friend. He was grateful for a productive life and the freedom/opportunities of America. His family will continue his life’s work and legacy through the Meadow Park community.
