Biography

Joanne Taylor Flynn,54, was born on January 9, 1967 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Lorene (Sevenstar) Taylor and Benn Lee Taylor. Joanne passed away on March 10, 2021 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was a production line worker off and on for many years. She was a member of Belfonte Baptist Church and she would also attend Rock Fence Baptist Church. Joanne loved singing songs of praise, everything that had to do with church, and spending time with her brothers and sisters in Christ. Joanne is survived by her three daughters, Charlotte Scraper, Johanna Flynn of Salem, Oklahoma, and Cassondra Flynn of the home; two sons, Larry Dean Flynn Jr. and Sammy Wayne Flynn of Salem, Oklahoma; fifteen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren; six sisters and two brothers; and her mother Lorene Taylor; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and a host of friends. Joanne is preceded in death by her father, Benn Lee Taylor, nephews James Taylor and Larry Dean Flynn. Visitation will be held in the Belfonte Baptist Church in Muldrow, OK on Wednesday, March 17th , beginning at 5:00 pm. Funeral services for Joanne will be held Thursday, March 18th at 2:00 pm in the Belfonte Baptist Church and the internment will follow in the Belfonte Cemetery.   1. She was a beautiful woman inside out. She loved God and her family, as she spoke of when we talked. I count it a great privilege knowing her. She will be greatly missed but always remembered. My prayers are for peace and strength for her family.
