Biography

Eva Lavonne Neel, 49, of Vian, OK, passed away on September 9, 2022.

She was born on July 21, 1973, in Tahlequah, OK, to Beaty Yevonne McEver (Davis) and Clayton Ray McEver.

Eva graduated from Vian High School, then attended Carl Albert State College and Conners, going on to become a Pediatric Nurse. She loved the beach, anything Coco Chanel, shopping, Mickey Mouse, going to the movies and going out with her friends, spending time with family, reading books, being “Mimi” to Harley, Football games and cheering on the Sooners and Wolverines, traveling, decorating, and bossing her brothers and sisters around. Eva loved helping people and she will be missed by all that knew her.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dwayne Davis and Shirley (Moss) Davis; paternal grandparents, Glen and Sadie Collins and Ray McEver, and her father, Clayton McEver.

Survivors include her mother, Yevonne McEver (Webster) of Vian, OK; children, Brooklind Allie Yahola, Krystin Storm Yahola and Carlos of Muskogee, OK, Trenton McEver-Neel and Emily of Vian, OK; siblings, Brandon McEver and Jennifer of Vian, OK, Lisa Dennis and Kyle of Greenwood, AR, Joseph McEver and Katrina of Vian, OK, Steven McEver and Casey of Sallisaw, OK, Clayton A. McEver and Christina of Sallisaw, OK; grandchildren, Harley Faye Neel and Evie Mae Hamm.

A visitation for Eva will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 5-8 PM in the chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services.

A Funeral service will take place on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 1 PM at Blackgum Harvestime Church in Vian, OK

Casket bearers are Brandon McEver, Joe McEver, Steve McEver, Clayton A. McEver, Mark Scrimsher, and Howard Stoops.

Honorary bearers are Alex Yahola, Mark Collins, Trenton Neel, Joe Neel, Grant Collins, Mason Collins, Josh Collins, Jacob Collins, Matt Cochran, Mark Cochran, John Killer, Markie Rutherford, Michael Pilkington, Allen Deen, D.J. Davis, Curtis Davis, Reese Pilkington, Johnny Cochran, Chooch Webster Carlos Hamm, and Kyle Dennis.

  2. So sorry for your loss. I only met and talked with her a few times but that was long enough to know she was a kind and caring person. Praying the family can endure this.
