  1. We had the privilege of getting to know done through his family. There are no real words to explain how we felt about this person. He was one of the kindest strongest willed individuals we have ever known. He loved his family his friends. And everyone around him deeply. He will be so deeply missed and loved by everyone that came in contact with him. We cannot wait till the day he is raised in the resurrection and we will be able to talk with him face to face because of being such a wonderful individual. Our love and our prayers go out to each of his family members and the ones that loved him.

  8. I have known Don and Rita and family for around 40 years. Don was one of the most kind hearted and loving people I’ve ever known. Always thinking of others even during this horrible sickness. Never once heard him complain. But he knew that soon he would wake and be able to walk and enjoy life to the full in the paradise earth that Jehovah promises us! We all look forward to that day ! But my heart still hurts for his family who will miss him the most til then!

  9. Getting to know Don and Rita changed my life. Rita finished my studies and Don went over the questions to be sure I was ready for baptism. The Sallisaw congregation was the start of my dedicated family of Jehovah’s worshippers. I will never forget how the Milam’s took me in, helping me build and strengthen my personal relationship with Jehovah. May His comfort ease your pain, His love help you remember Don in his years of service and loving kindness to his family, and may His promises give you joy in knowing you will see each other again; this time in the paradise intended for God’s people. My love to all who are touched by Don’s passing. Your Spiritual Sister, Sylvia

  13. My family and I knew Don and Rita for 50 years. When they first moved to Sallisaw, we immediately adopted them and they us. Don was the brother I never had. And Rita, my loving sister. They were so much fun, so lovable and helped all they knew. Don called his sweet wife, Rita, Skeeter. So we did, too, along with many others. We are literally grieved at his passing; he was family. I have lovely memories of life with Don and Rita and children. For now, we will be lost without Don and his wonderful perky, friendly personality! He was so faithful in loving our Creator and serving him loyally and faithfully. I send my heartfelt sympathies and love to the whole family and those who loved Don so much. But we are promised that we will see him again and enjoy his wonderful company. I so look forward to it. I am sending my deep love and condolences to all of you. May God bless you. I love you all.
