Biography

Daniel Caldean Sells, 92, of Sallisaw passed away on Friday, Dec 4, 2020 in the Jack Montgomery VA Hospital in Muskogee. Dan was born on Oct 11, 1928 in Akins, OK to Hason and Edith Sells. He was a veteran having served his country in WWII with the US Army. He spent most of his adult life as a plumber beginning with the Fredrick Plumbing Co in Wichita and then coming to Sallisaw as a master plumber and starting his own plumbing business, A1 Plumbing.He is survived by his wife, Vergene Woodward Sells of the home; children, Dallas and Joan Sells of Salinas, California, Dewayne and Janet Sells of Manhattan, KS, David Sells of Marble City, Darlene and Philip Henson of Liberty, OK, Johnny Woodward of Muldrow, Joann Woodward of Gans, and Edgar Dale Butler of Richland Hills, Tx; Sisters, Ruth Ann Reynolds, A. Marie Speaker, Margarette R. Boyd, Virginia Cook, and Linda Jo and her husband Joe Griffin; 9 grandchildren and a host of other great grandchildren, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Marjorie Barnes, Geraldine Leonard, and Patsy Mohalland, and 1 brother, Johnny Sells.Visitation for Dan will be on Tuesday, Dec 8, 2020 from noon to 5:00 pm and again on Wed., Dec 9, 2020 from noon to 6:00 pm in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services, 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw. A private memorial service will be held by his family at a later date. The Sells family has asked that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to your favorite Veteran’s organization with special attention given to the Sallisaw VFW.   1. Dan was a wonderful neighbor. He would go out of his to help just about anyone.I really enjoyed my visits with him, and have a great deal of admiration for him.I pray the Lord will be with the family during this difficult time.
