Biography

Buddy Rogers, 93, of Sallisaw went to his heavenly home on Monday, May 31, 2021. Buddy was born to Ollie and Beulah (Stimson) Rogers on March 18,1928 in Gans, OK.

Buddy and Colleen (Masterson) Rogers were married for almost 50 years until her passing on April 27, 1998. He then married Margie Carter of Blanchard, OK. Buddy and Margie were married 22 years until her passing on August 1, 2020.

Buddy drove a propane truck for many, many years. He was available all hours of the night and supplied propane to those that had and many that didn’t have. Buddy developed many friendships through his years of supplying propane during the harsh, Oklahoma winters. Buddy never met a man he didn’t like. He had many friends. He loved to feed anyone who was hungry and everyone was always welcome at his table.

Buddy is survived by his daughter, Joy and Mark Green of Sallisaw; his daughter, Fama Williams of Hobbs, NM; his son, Darrel and Cindy Rogers of Marble City; six grandchildren, Bradley Green, Narissa Toliver and her husband Darin, Theron Williams and his wife Amanda, Ashley Campbell and her husband Monty, Alaina Friend and her husband Brad, Darrell Woodward and his wife Cindy; eighteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Diane and Don Robertson of Sallisaw and Shelba and Dennis McClure of Sallisaw; two brothers, Bill Rogers of Muldrow, OK, Stimson and Linda Rogers of Sallisaw, OK; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Beulah Rogers; his wife, Colleen; his wife, Margie; his son-in-law, Norman Williams, two grandchildren, Toddy Green and Jason Williams; one great granddaughter, Harper Ann Friend; three sisters, Wynona Wright, Mayme Rogers, Wanda Rogers; and two brothers, Seigal Rogers and Jimmy Rogers.

  2. Our prayers are with his family. I worked with Buddy for a few years part time and built the highest of respect for him. He was a great Friend!!
