Arthur “Richard” Blackburn, 74, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away in Fort Smith, Arkansas on January 10, 2024. Richard was born in Santa Rosa, California, to Arthur and Lela Mae Blackburn (Jackson) on April 25, 1949. He retired from Hickory Springs after 30-plus years. He was a devoted employee who took pride in caring for his family. In his early years, he loved to hunt and fish. He raised black limousine cattle and enjoyed watching the horse races.
Richard is survived by his loving spouse of 54 years, Evelyn Blackburn; his children, Shelly and Kelly Alford and Rocky Blackburn; his siblings, Betty and Dan McCaslin, George Blackburn, and Marty Blackburn; his grandchildren, Jordan and Alex Falls, Caleb Gray, Tanner Gray, Garner Alford, Parker Alford, and Addison Alford, his great-grandchildren, Sebastian falls and Staussi Falls. As well as numerous other beloved family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Kenny Blackburn, his sisters, Anna Marie Blackburn and Karen Money, and his mother and father-in-law, DG and Ima Moore.
The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Forever Memories Funeral Services, INC., Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
