Biography

Edward “Eddie” Chester Armer, 70, of Gore, Oklahoma, passed away in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, on July 20, 2023. Eddie was born in Blackgum, Oklahoma, to Chester and Essie Armer (Ray) on June 28, 1953. Eddie married his wife, Janet Armer, in 1983. He was a heavy equipment operator for U.S Lime Company – St Clair. He was the president of the Box Cemetery for 40 years. He enjoyed retirement and liked to spend his free time fishing and being with his family. Eddie liked to visit with people and always had a good story to listen to. He was a member of the Blackgum Baptist Church.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife; their children, Jeff and Sharmon Oujiri, Janessa and Travis Hada; his siblings, Darrel and Leona Armer, Johnny and Sharon Armer, Sandy and Larry Clompton, and Gary Armer; his mother, Essie Armer, his grandchildren; Kiarra Rose Guerrero, Mariah Hada, Megan and John Toole, and Brittany and James Jones, his great-grandchildren; Noah Jones and Zachary Countz, Judyann Toole and Samantha Toole and a multitude of nieces and nephews and dear cousins.

Eddie is preceded in death by his father, Chester Armer, siblings; June Harvey, Andy Armer, Carl Armer, Roger Armer, and his grandson; Cole Hada.

  1. So sorry to hear of his passing, he was a good friend. I would enjoy seeing him at the dock when i was working because i knew he had a story or 2 to tell and a good joke as well. PRAYERS FOR THE FAMILY.
